When people visit your website, do you know exactly what you want them to do? For me, the main goal is to have them contact me using my contact form. Since that is my main goal, I need to make sure everything on my site supports that goal. I also need to specifically track that goal so I know whether or not my website is doing its job! In Google Analytics, you can easily set goals and track conversions! The easiest way to set this up is to have your form redirect to a “thank you” page. You don’t actually NEED to do this if you know how to set up a little bit of code for the submit button… but this way is super easy. Here are the steps for setting up the goal within Google Analytics: Done! Now when I go to my goals overview, I’ll be able to see what percentage of my site traffic actually completes this goal! I can also set up a goal widget in my custom dashboard to have this info front and center when I view my analytics! More on that in the next post! As always feel free to leave a comment below or you can join the Fuel Your Photos Facebook Group and let me know how I can help!
